Health

Illness

In the event that your child experiences the following symptoms, we request that you keep them at home or that you pick them up from the center:

  • A temperature of 100 degrees or higher.
  • Intestinal disturbance accompanied by diarrhea or vomiting.
  • Any undiagnosed rash.
  • Extremely red, sore, or discharge around the eyes.
  • Extreme nasal discharge.
  • Any illnesses known to be contagious (conjunctivitis, strep throat, etc.).
  • A child who has been put on antibiotics from the doctor cannot return until 24 hours after they have received the first dose.

It is the responsibility of the parent to make sure that they have alternative arrangements in the event that they are unable to pick up an ill child.  Once informed of a child’s illness, parents or guardians are expected to pick up their children in a timely fashion.  All parents need to notify the center if their child is ill and will not be present.
