Q: What are your days and hours?

A: We offer child care between 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. 

 

Q: What do I do if my child is not feeling well on a day I have to be at work?

A: Krambrooke’s illness policy requires all children to be fever and symptom free for 24 hours before they can attend school.  Symptoms to watch for include: vomiting, diarrhea, eye discharge or redness, excessive coughing and unusual rashes.  Please reference our Parent Handbook for our complete Illness Policy.

 

Q: What is accreditation and why is it important?

A: Accreditation provides a standard far beyond that of licensing alone. It lays out a quality standard that takes into account not only the environment, but the staff as well. As it is estimated that only the top 1% of preschools are accredited, you can rest assured that your child is receiving the best of care. 

 

Q: Is Krambrooke accredited?

A:Yes! Krambrooke is accredited by the National Accreditation Commission for Early Care And Education Programs.

 

Q: What is Michigan’s Great Start to Quality star rating system and why is it important?

A: Great Start to Quality provides a standard far beyond that of licensing alone. It lays out a quality standard that takes into account not only the environment, but the staff as well. So you can rest assured that your child is receiving the best of care. 

 

Q: Does Krambrooke have a Great Start to Quality star rating?

A: Yes! Krambrooke has a 4 star rating from Great Start to Quality!

 

Q: What is the staff/child ratio at Krambrooke

A: For Infants and Toddlers, the ratio is 1 to 4.  For toddlers 2 years and 6 months up to 2 years 9 months, the ratio is 1 to 8. For children 2 years 9months to 3 years 9 months, the ratio is 1 to 10. For children 3 years 9 months to 5 years, the ratio is 1 to 12. For School Age Care (Summer Camp), the ratio is 1 to 18.

 

Q: How does your video monitoring system work?

A: Each classroom at Krambrooke Children’s Center is equipped with a monitoring camera and the video monitors are located in the Director’s office. Parents are welcome to drop by at any time and view their children through our closed circuit cameras. We believe it’s a great tool for parents to be able to watch how their children interacts in the classroom setting. Due to safety and security issues, we do not offer live video feeds over the internet.

 

Q: Do you offer a multi-child discount?

A: Yes, we offer a 10% discount on the sibling with the lesser weekly tuition, as long as all accounts are kept current. Have more than two children? Stop by to speak with our office manager to see what can be provided.

 

Q: What kind of meal program does Krambrooke provide?

A: Krambrooke provides two nutritious snacks and breakfast daily, included with the tuition cost. Menus for the current week are posted on this website, in the classrooms and are sent home at the beginning of each month. Lunch is provided from September through June for an extras fee depending on your child’s age.

 

Q: What is Krambrooke Children’s Center’s greatest strength?

A:It is OUR STAFF! We go through an intensive hiring and training process to ensure that only the best teachers are working with your children. The majority of our staff have been with us for over 5 years. They are all dedicated, passionate, caring teachers, and our greatest strength!
