Krambrooke Children's Center began in the same way our children do, small and unsure of the future. In 1987, Ken and Kathy Kram started Sugar Bears Day Care, licensed by the State of Michigan as a "Family Home" facility with a maximum child capacity of six children.

As Sugar Bears continued to grow in size and the demand for quality childcare increased, the Krams opened Krambrooke Children's Center in 1997. The facility had space for 185 children, and immediately filled up. Recognizing the demand for quality childcare and a strong preschool program, Krambrooke Children's Center became accredited by the Core Knowledge© Foundation in 1999, and is now the only official Core Knowledge© preschool in Macomb County.
For over 30 years, Krambrooke Children's Center has provided exceptional childcare and outstanding preschool programs for the families of Macomb and Oakland County.
